Some religion are good and bad, but the bad one can be dangerous to people. The bad religions are composed of bad morals and belief you are thought when you are young, and is difficult for some individuals to change it back.
It is not possible to claim whether religion is a factor of positive or negative influence. While modern society rejects it, for the most part, the terms of “good” and “harm” are entirely subjective, which is why it is not possible to give a specific answer.
Religion is bad for society. Religion promotes prejudice. While religion may foster prosocial behavior, it tends to be towards other members of the same religious group. At the same time, it has been known to promote prejudice and suspicion towards outsiders.
Research reveals three reasons religion and spirituality may be good for our well-being (and a few reasons they might not be).
The spiritual life, the life of compassion is not bound by any religious ideal. Great saints and good people are not the monopoly of any one particular religion. But, often religion enters into a competition, trying to prove it’s own supremacy. The divine religion quietly offers the experience of oneness, divine love and peace among men.

The good aspect that religion has is that they comfort others and the bad aspect is that in occasions it is common for people to take advantage of the ones who have less. Unfortunately with in religion social groups are formed, with this everyone feels obligated to support economically their religion, in order for their sin to be forgiven.
Even though, we usually see religion as the belief in one or more gods, this is not always the case. In Buddhism, for example, there are no deities. However, like other religions, Buddhism strongly asserts the existence of a spiritual reality, which is separated from everyday life of the material world.
What makes a religion good or bad? A religion can not be defined as either good or bad as religion is a faith, an unquestionable set of beliefs set down by a God or set of Gods. Good and bad never enters the equation. A faith in the unknown can not be questioned for the obvious fact it is t.
It is a belief that religion is a good thing for people to be involved with. Religion is intimately attached to people’s existence and because of that many bad things have happened. Religion had been used in the past as an instrument to create instability between people, cities and countries.
Whether we are believers or not, we all have to hope that if used properly and in the right hands, religion can still be a force for good. In bad hands such as those of religious fundamentalists of an extreme kind it can be very dangerous.
